ONAM celebrations in St. Mary's School Panathady

On the occasion of Tiru Onam Kerala state is ready to welcome King Maveli who is considered as god who lived among the human beings. Onam is the common festival of Keral where all the citizens of Kerala to celebrate. It makes the people to remember the presence of Maveli and the Vamanan. King Maveli is the one who treated his citizens very well. People remember him because of his good works on the earth even today. If Maveli was there today we will not have any problem like we have now, people express their thoughts when we ask them about King Maveli.
St. Mary’s College and School, Panathady , KasargodDist. Celebrated Onam on 20th August 2010. College students and School children’s along with the staff participated in various competitions like tug-of-war, eating Bittergard, wearing saree for men’s, Pookalam (flower carpet) etc.





To mark the presence of King Maveli College had a procession of King Maveli and Vamanan in public places. King Maveli addressed and distributed gifts to the winners. Manager of the Institutions Rev. Fr. George Manjangal, Rev. Fr. Lukas Principal of the School Rev. Fr. George Kutty principal of the College, Rev. Fr. Shimit, Administrator of St. Mary’s School, Sr. Sally, vice principal of St. Mary’s School were on the stage along with Maveli to addressed the gathering
